Editorial and fact-check policy

Last updated: 29 September 2026

Learners trust what they read here, so accuracy comes before speed or volume. This page explains how we choose sources, check facts, use AI and correct mistakes.

Sources we use

  1. Official sources first: government websites (gov.in, nic.in, pib.gov.in), NCERT and CBSE, RBI, ISRO, the Election Commission, PRS Legislative Research and official notifications.
  2. Reference works: Wikidata (CC0) for dates and identifiers, Wikipedia (CC BY-SA 4.0) for context — checked against its own citations — and established encyclopaedias.
  3. Reputed publications for context and for figures that are only reported in the news; such figures are marked as estimates.

We do not use social-media posts, quote-image sites or unsourced claims as sources. Every fact page, current-affairs note, job post and quote shows or keeps its source.

How we check

  • Dates, numbers, names and "first/largest" claims are checked against at least one reliable source.
  • Every multiple-choice question is solved again by the reviewer; exactly one option must be correct.
  • Quotes are attributed only when we can find a primary or reliable source. Disputed or misattributed quotes are not published.
  • For living people we publish only cited, public-record information — no private details, rumours or allegations. Money figures (wealth, salaries, assets) come from official filings, affidavits or recognised rich lists; figures from news reports are labelled as estimates.
  • Hindi is written natively, not machine-translated, and technical terms are given as हिंदी (English).

Use of AI

We use AI tools to draft some content, suggest questions and check consistency. Every AI-assisted item is reviewed and approved by an editor before it is published, and the editor is responsible for it. We do not publish AI-generated images of living people.

Independence

We do not publish paid articles disguised as editorial content. Advertising, when shown, is clearly separate from content and never appears inside tests or quizzes.

Corrections

If you find a mistake, use the "Report an error" button on the page or contact us. We review reports quickly; a page with several open reports is taken back for review. Significant corrections are made openly and the page's update date changes.

Copyright

We write in our own words. We do not copy textbooks, coaching material or news articles. Content from Wikipedia is summarised and credited under CC BY-SA 4.0; images are used only under their licences.
